Soraya Deen is the President and Founder of Resolution Revolution Inc., a Center for Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. The Center focuses on a non adversarial way of thinking and communicating.
A native of Sri Lanka, Soraya developed a deep commitment to learning the Eastern philosophy of SEVA (service) and SIMRAN (Higher Consciousness) and she incorporates such in her daily life. Soraya blends her legal expertise of over a decade with her uniquely diverse background to inspire, influence and impact lives. Mothers of today are in a unique position as they educate, engage, and empower children to find hope and peace in a world where there is too much hurt and hate. Mothers can and must demand not just an end to all wars, but an end to the beginning of all wars.
As a speaker Soraya delivers a message filled with love and hope. She believes that renewing peace between two aggrieved parties surpasses praying and fasting. Her passion for PEACE and her compassion for the children of the world drive home a powerful message that the only path to PEACE is PEACE.
Her children’s book, PAPA TEACH ME PEACE, is due out in the Summer of 2008.
Soraya lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their two small children.
